Willy Guhl (1915-2004) was a pioneering Swiss neo-functionalist designer and one of the first industrial designers in Switzerland. Known for his furniture and outdoor planters, he worked with a fiber-cement mixture called Eternit, then bent the individual pieces into their distinctive shapes. The Biomorphic , Handkerchief, and Diablo Planter designs were some of his most iconic outdoor planters.
